Every skin is protected by a layer, called the
skin barrier, consisting of oils and other skin-native substances that ensure the skin is protected at all times (our defense against external influences). This skin barrier is essential. It ensures that various irritants generally cannot reach your cells. In our lotion, we add substances that keep the skin barrier intact and strengthen it. If your skin barrier remains intact, your skin is basically protected. It is also the skin barrier that gets damaged in babies and children due to exposure
to urine, feces, and friction from diapers.

Why does Kenko choose to include fragrance?
The fragrance consists of a drop of 100% natural fragrance oil (natural vanilla and a plant extract). It is a mild, safe fragrance that is very low-dosed and makes the experience just a little more pleasant without the fragrance being harmful or irritating to baby's skin. Our goal is not to mask the smell of feces. The goal is to make it a pleasant moment of experience and care with your child.

Why does Kenko choose to include preservatives?
Safety is their number one priority. Preservation is essential here because many babies do not yet have a good immune system. Preservation ensures that water is unavailable to bacteria and fungi. We have our products made in a cleanroom, but when in use, as a mother, you put your hands in and out of the packaging. They deliberately choose a very gentle, mild preservative.
