This lovely wool-fleece jacket from Engel Natur is a great and versatile basic for your child. The jacket is made from 100% organic wool-fleece and feels soft, thick, airy, and light – perfect for everyday use.

We find this jacket ideal for use in a baby wrap or carrier, as it keeps your child warm without being too heavy. But it also makes a great extra layer in the stroller, cargo bike, or while playing outside, for both babies and slightly older children.

The wide cuffs on the sleeves fit snugly and ensure that no cold air gets in. This keeps your child comfortably warm, even on colder days.

Wool naturally has wonderful properties: it is breathable, temperature-regulating, and moisture-absorbing, without feeling clammy. With use, the fabric develops a soft fleece structure, similar to regular fleece, but entirely made from organic wool without synthetic fibers.

You don't need to pre-wash wool. Wool is naturally self-cleaning, so it doesn't need to be washed often even during use. Airing it regularly is usually enough to freshen up the garment.

Still need to wash it? Here's how to do it safely:

Washing machine: use the wool wash program, cold or max. 30°C, with wool detergent and a low spin speed (± 400 rpm).

Hand wash: wash briefly in lukewarm water without large temperature fluctuations. Do not rub or soak.

Drying: never wring; gently press water out with a towel and lay flat to dry.

Stains & care:
Small stains can be cleaned locally. Let mud dry first, then gently brush it out.
Pilling is normal with wool; carefully remove lint with a clothes brush or lint roller.

Important: never use fabric softener – this damages the wool fiber.
